Green Tea:

Green tea before bed is beneficial to digest the dinner. There is no scientific evidence of a preference to take it at a certain time, but many experts prefer green tea before bed. It is a time of rest, which gives the person a pleasure and relaxation. Although taking green tea before bed also increase the mental activity. Many people believe that drinking green tea before bed specifically helps to increase metabolism, weight loss, and detoxification. Similarly, drinking green tea with non-heme iron sources also reduces its absorption so drinking green tea before bed can help to avoid this effect.

The Green Tea Side Effects:

Doctors recommend that do not drink tea before bed because it contains nervous system stimulants that can lead to insomnia. They also warned to heart patients because it will increase your heart rate.

High-dose green tea has many side effects, but it is in the case of very large amounts of green tea. These effects include:

  • Toxicity of liver cells due to green tea catechins.
  • Oxidative damage in DNA
  • Drinking more than 5 cups of green tea can lead to many side effects, such as headaches, stress, sleep problems, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, irregular heartbeat, stomach burning, dizziness, tinnitus, and confusion.

Avoided green tea if:

  • Severe heart disease.
  • In the case of pregnancy and lactation, do not to drink more than 1 to 2 cup a day.
  • Green tea contains aluminum that can affect kidney failure patients.
